Women Cell

With the Approval of D.H.E and Women Studies centre, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra this cell was established in our College in 1996.since the last seventeen years this cell is doing remarkable work and is involved in various activities focusing on the Empowerment of women, building self esteem among girls and creating a general awareness regarding status of women in the society.

This cell is paying special attention to same the girl child, lowering of drop out rates among girls at school and college level, removal of illiteracy. Health fitness, social justice, female foeticides, saves the girl child. How to protect the girls and how to remove their grievances is our main motto. To include the values, Morality, it is very much required that the girl should be given knowledge about their rights.

The Function of this cell is:

  1. To organize lectures of different Women related issues.
  2. To include the value system.
  3. To empower them with their rights.
  4. To organize competition of different kind like: speech, poem, painting etc.


  1. Organized three function of women cell on 14-2-2013 state level workshop on improving the sex ratio A.D.C Dr. Phulia was chief guest of the workshop i.e organized by our college, women cell, C.D.P.O Barara & Anganwari workers. On this “save girl child” & “Female Foeticide” is our main motto.
  2. Prof. Dr. Arindam Gupta from Vidyasagar University, Midnapur West Bengal gave lecture on “Gender Inequality and women Empowerment” on 23-2-2013 in our college.
  3. Celebrated International women’s day on March 8, 2013.on this occasion three competitions was organized Painting, Speech, Poem competition.
  4. On 19/9/2012—Helped the N.G.O, S. Amrinder Singh for “Signature Campaign” for “BETI BACHAO ANDOLAN” & took the signature of students of our college.
  5. We attended Rally against ‘Damini case’ in Tehsil with our college students organized by S.D.M Barara in Jan 2013.
  6. Mrs Archana Sharma and Mr. Om Parkash Azad have delivered lectures on behalf of HALSA in the college on 22.9.2015 on the topics ' Farmer Suicide','Women Harassment ' and Mediation and PNDT Act'.20 staff Members and 150 girls students have attended the lectures.
